Saga af lítilli steinvölu sem er umkringd stórgrýti.

Ég heiti Steinn er leikverk án orða fyrir börn. Aðalpersónan okkar, Steinn, er lítil steinvala sem er að reyna að fóta sig í heimi stórgrýtis. Hann hittir fyrir grjótið Urði og hnullunginn Berg og fyrst um sinn kemur þeim síður en svo vel saman. En eftir því sem líður á söguna átta þau sig á því að þó þau séu ólík geta þau vel verið vinir. Saman eru þau sterkari og geta tekist á við hvað sem er. Þau læra að treysta hvert öðru og eru undir lokin orðin óaðskiljanlegt þríeyki sem áhorfendurnir hrífast af!

ÉG HEITI STEINN er hálfgrímusýning þar sem notast er við trúðatækni til að fjalla um leit persónu að sjálfinu, um fjölbreytileika, umburðarlyndi, samskipti og inngildingu. Verkið gerist á óræðum stað þar sem skuggar og ljós mæta rafmögnuðum hljóðheimi í þessari fallegu og látlausu uppsetningu leikfélagsins Reine Mer. Þar sem ekki er notast við talað mál höfðar sýningin til barna af öllum uppruna og ganga áhorfendur út með gleði og hlýju í hjarta.

A story about a small stone surrounded by large rocks.

My name is Steinn, is a wordless play for children. Our main character, Steinn, is a little pebble trying to find its footing in the world of large rocks. He meets the stone named Urður and the mischievous rock Berg, and initially, they don´t get along at all. However, as the story progresses, they realise that despite their differences, they can indeed be good friends. Together, they are stronger and can face whatever comes their way. They learn to trust each other and eventually become an inseparable trio that captivates the audience.

"My Name is Steinn" is a half-musical show that uses pantomime to explore the search for self-identity, diversity, empathy, communication, and value. The piece takes place in an undefined location where shadows and light meet a world of electronic sound in this beautiful and speechless presentation by the theater company Reine Mer. As spoken language is not used, the show is aimed at children of all backgrounds, leaving the audience with joy and warmth in their hearts."
